WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Cliff Bentz (R-OR) joined 197 of his Republican and 155 of his Democrat colleagues voting in support of H.R. 7521, The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, a bipartisan bill aimed at protecting American national security against the threats posed by social media applications controlled by foreign adversary governments. This bill, introduced by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), passed out of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce by a rare unanimous vote of 50-0.

WASHINGTON - Congressman Cliff Bentz (OR-02) joined Speaker Mike Johnson in voting for HR 7463, the “continuing resolution” which keeps the government open, the military paid, the FAA and TSA working, and the border patrol on duty up to March 8th and March 22nd. This gives Congress time to finalize the 12 budget bills that make up the discretionary part of the nation’s 2024 budget.
U.S. Rep. Cliff Bentz recently came to Prineville to host a listening session regarding the reintroduction of wolves in Oregon and its impact on the ranching industry.
The event, which drew a crowd of about 60 people to Carey Foster Hall, included a panel of representatives from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and U.S. Department of Agriculture as well as Crook County Judge Seth Crawford, who serves on the Crook County Wolf Committee.
