Tours and Tickets

All tickets are provided to constituents on a first-come, first-serve basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances.

The following are policies determined by the White House for those requesting tours through Congressional Offices: 

  • Tours must be requested at least three weeks in advance.
  • Tours are only available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Whitehouse Dates

Please choose three dates everyone in your party is available to tour the White House. Tours are available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The tours are self-guided.

White House tours may be submitted up to 90 days in advance, but no later than 3 weeks before the requested tour date.

Each person in your tour party must submit security information to the White House via a link they provide.


 

Self Scheduled Tours

As there is a lot to do and see in the Nation’s Capital and though, this is not a complete list of all tours available in the city, below, you will find some useful links that may assist you in planning out the rest of your trip in Washington, DC.

The cemetery is free and open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. ET to 4:00 p.m. ET however, for a guided tour, Arlington National Cemetery Tours, Inc. is Arlington National Cemetery's only authorized interpretative tour bus service. Tram tours departevery 30 minutes, from 9:00 a.m. ET to 4:00 p.m. ET daily. The tour is a live-narrated, hop on/hop off tour making four stops: President John F. Kennedy gravesite, John J. Pershing gravesite, Memorial Amphitheater (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) and Arlington House. Tickets may be purchased inside the Welcome Center at the box office and outside in the tram circle at the marked podium. They may also be purchased online at arlingtontours/planyourvisit

Pentagon tours are given Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. ET and 1:00 p.m. ET and must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. Tours will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and will require clearance to enter the Pentagon by the Pentagon Forces Protection Agency. The Pentagon is located at 1400 Defense Pentagon Washington, DC. Keep in mind no public parking is available at the Pentagon. Parking may be available at the Pentagon City Mall or please arrive for your tour on the Blue or Yellow Metrorail Line arriving at the Pentagon Metro Stop. No electronic devices are permitted on Pentagon tours and there is no secure storage for these devices. You must leave all electronic devices before entering the facilities. Prohibited devices include but are not limited to cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops, gaming devices, cameras, storage devices/flash drives, scanners, headphones, virtual reality devices, transmitters, and GPS devices. What are the options for 'Phone Type?'

Constituents who are hard of hearing or use a video phone have the option to choose TDD or VP based on the type of device they are using. This allows our office to respond to them accordingly. The default option 'Voice' is a standard audible telephone.
