ABOUT CONGRESSMAN CLIFF BENTZ
Congressman Cliff Bentz is a third-generation Oregonian, raised on his family’s cattle ranches in Harney County. He attended Whitehorse Ranch and Pine Creek Grade Schools. At age 14, he was sent to live with an aunt and uncle so that he could attend Regis High School (a Catholic parochial school) near Salem, Oregon. While at Regis he lettered in basketball and track, served as student body president and as a delegate to Boy’s State. Following graduation from high school, he attended and graduated cum laude from Eastern Oregon State College.

Congressman Cliff Bentz said on Tuesday, Jan. 27, that he has lobbied the Trump administration to take a “different approach” in its campaign to deport people who are living illegally in the country.
Rep. Cliff Bentz, R-Ontario, said Oregon is facing a future shortage of electric power and will need to make difficult policy changes — including reconsidering nuclear energy — to meet growing demand.
Bentz stopped by the Central Oregon Daily studios Tuesday to talk about several issues.
One topic he's been active on is the push to remove the gray wolf from the list of federally endangered species. The House recently passed a bill that does just that and will now have to be considered by the Senate.
